I got myself a thing called Articy: draft by a company called Nevigo. It’s actually been on my radar for years while I’ve been saving up money to purchase it (it’s on sale on Steam, btw). It’s essentially a source code version control software built for game designers aka it’s made to help manage narrative and functional assets and flow, and I’m hoping to use it to make a game or two between work (in conjunction with game development software). Once I’m more familiar with the software, I want to start organizing the information for bigger projects into Articy project files as part of pitches for game designs I’ve been working on. It could also prove VERY useful in organizing a database/encyclopedia for Circum, which I’d like to do during the course of the comic.

In other news, the date of my leave to Denver has been pushed back about a month.  So I get four more weeks to do all the work I thought I was going to have to cram into two.  That said, it’s still a LOT of work, so I’ll still be really busy getting things at home organized and ready.  I’ll probably still be operating at the bare minimum until then. HAHA NEVERMIND!  They couldn’t change the date of my flight after all so I’m leaving on the original date and now I think I’ll go die of stress in the corner! GOODBYECRUELWORLD!

Some of you may have noticed that I skipped a week updating y’all on what I plan to do through the week. Honestly, it didn’t really change from last week, and at the time I was updating online, keeping a planner (writing down the weekly goals in the notes section and then actually writing what I did each day on the day slots to keep track of progress and frequency of work) and putting stick-it notes on my monitor as a way of having a constant checklist (so once I complete a task I take down the stick-it note and write it in the planner). The redundancy was a bit much, so I think for now I’m going to stop with the online bit as the planner/stick-it note combination has been working fairly well thus far.

I think that’s pretty much it. I’m still working on trying to get ahead with Circum and DotL (it’s getting to the point where I’m starting to really wonder if I’ll be able to have the time to get chapter 2 written/thumbnailed and sketched/inked out in time), and commissions are always at the forefront of my mind, I’m sorry they’re taking so long and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who’s been patient and understanding about it. Once we’re done with this queue, they will remain closed until Circum updates and work progress is stabilized. After that I will quietly open them again- I need to figure out a good queue method so that I don’t keep getting work in huge bursts like this.

Good luck with the move Nyt--it sounds like you could seriously use some! ^_^;;
