Donation Goal: $800
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND BUSINESS! I have made my goal, I just need to concentrate on staying alive 8D but seriously, I'm pretty sure I have enough food stored up to last me till the end of the semester.
This weekend I'm being kidnapped by
to sell things at a convention in Utah. If you're going to Banzai we'll be in the artist alley :3 I'll be selling prints of my work as well as LoZ bookmarks, magnets and such. I am also contemplating plushimal stickers.
Winners will be announced Friday provided that I have internet service while I'm down there. If not they will get posted either on Sunday and Monday. The list of commissioners is turning into quite the beast and while I don't have a complete list typed up, I have estimated a little over 200 commissions (individual characters) total.
Due to the number of people who have donated, referred and bought commissions, there will be multiple prizes.
There will be four drawings in total for the commission raffles. All four will receive digital upgrades (and please understand that I'll be working on commissions in order so it will be a while till I get to it, but it WILL get done) See the deviation above for details on the four different prizes.
In addition to that, there will be a separate drawing for the donators as well as everyone who referred a commissioner to me through putting the word out :3 The donator who wins this portion of the raffle will receive a free sketch commission :3
AND there will also be a livestream drawing for everyone who dropped in on the commission livestreams :3 The winner here will get a lineart commission.
And as always, for those who have a lineart commission, if you decide you would like your piece upgraded to a full digital piece, I will deduct the price of the regular sketch commission from the digital commission price. If you're not sure whether you want one or you aren't sure how much it would cost/get deducted, go ahead and ask me for a price quote :3 those are free.
Thank you so much again! Your support and business mean so much to me and I am honored to be working with you.
Because of the high number of people participating, a list will be constructed here sometime this weekend that will let everyone know what their raffle number is and the status of their commission.
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. The overall goal will decrease, because I do have a job that pays about $60 a week, but it honestly won't do much by the time November rolls around, which is again, why I ask for your charity. I promise to do my best for each of you!
IF ANY OF THE INFORMATION YOU SEE HERE IS INCORRECT, PLEASE NOTIFY ME IMMEDIATELY! The deviation will be updated at the end of every day.
EDIT3: It has come to my attention that it's a little unfair how it's easier to just buy a commission than refer ten people. SO! Here's what we'll do as ANOTHER EVENT in which NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER. As I said, every Friday I plan on doing all day livestreams, where I will be working on the commissions that people buy. IF YOU COME INTO THE LIVESTREAM YOU AUTOMATICALLY GET A TICKET TO ENTER THE DRAWING. However you can only do this once, and I must know that you are there so I can get your DA name/email to attach to your ticket number. On October 14th, that will be the last livestream before the drawing, and ANYONE who comes in will receive a ticket (rules of me knowing your there so I can attach your name to the ticket are still in place). Even if you have been in a livestream before and gotten a ticket there, you can get a second one there. So thats THREE chances to enter into the drawing with NO PURCHASE AT ALL. Of course, helping me to make my rent is the ultimate goal here, so any and EVERY donation is appreciated and goes to me not being evicted. Thank you so much again for your time and consideration!
EDIT2: TO CLARIFY! Because I don't want to get in trouble with any state legislature where I live: You are purchasing COMMISSIONS! The event is a commission sale and the chance to win an upgrade of your commission is complementary! Therefore, you people who just want to purchase "slots" I'll be coming after you to make sure that I am doing SOMETHING for the money you are giving me!
*ahem* to fall in line with the law: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER!!!
And to show what I'm referencing:
Article III, Section 20 of the Idaho Constitution prohibits gambling with three exceptions: the state lottery, pari-mutuel betting, and charitable bingo and raffles. Each must conform with enabling legislation.
A raffle is defined as “a game in which the prize is won by random drawing of the name or number of one (1) or more persons purchasing chances.” Only charitable organizations as defined in Idaho Code 67, Title 77 may conduct raffles that fall within the definition of gambling where there is prize, chance, and consideration. Consideration is anything of value, whether charged directly or indirectly, that is risked for a chance to win a prize.
However, not all prize drawings, promotional or otherwise, constitute gambling.
In fact, any entity (person, private retail business, , private group, etc.) may conduct a prize drawing, promotional or otherwise, as long as there is no consideration paid, either directly or indirectly, in order to obtain a chance at winning the prize.
An example of this would be if a group is holding a fund raising dinner and with your dinner you also receive a ticket or entry into a drawing. This is permissible as long as anyone can obtain a ticket or entry into this drawing without having to purchase a dinner or any other item. The language “No Purchase Necessary to Enter” must be clearly placed on all communication related to the drawing, including the ticket.
In summary, ANY ENTITY may hold a drawing as long as anyone can request and receive an entry or ticket into the drawing without making a direct or indirect purchase of any kind.
Further, and separately, the Idaho Constitution, Article III, Section 20, subsection (4), and Idaho Code § 18-3801(4) does allow for merchant promotions as follows:
(4) Notwithstanding the foregoing, the following are not gambling and are not prohibited by this section:
a. Merchant promotional contests and drawings conducted incidentally to bona fide nongaming business operations, if prizes are awarded without consideration being charged to participants.
An example of this is where a business selling something for profit offers promotional contests or drawings for chances to win prizes at no cost and with no purchase required of any product or goods. An example would be McDonald’s® Monopoly® game.

So again, you are NOT purchasing tickets or chances to win. You are purchasing commissions. You, as commissioners, are taking part in a promotional event and for your patronage are receiving a chance for an upgrade for your commission. And yes, THERE ARE WAYS TO GET A TICKET AND PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT WITHOUT PURCHASING ANYTHING!!! Spreading word around and referring people here, if you refer ten people and they confirm this, you automatically get a chance to win a full digital commission.
has already referred more than ten people and has a ticket to win and all he did was post a journal advertising that I was doing this. SO PLEASE DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND. I AM WORKING WITHIN FULL LEGAL CAPACITY OF MY STATE LAWS.
EDIT: YOU GUYS ARE TOO WONDERFUL I'M ALL KINDS OF WEEPY! I'm serious, you're more than awesome! I will be doing livestreams as I do the commissions, and so if yours is on the list for the night, you can come by and watch me finish the commission 8D Friday this week is when I will be doing a stream and next week Thursday and Friday will also be a stream.
There are those of you who wanted to know if you could send money without a paypal. Donate to my paypal using a Credit or Debit Card here.
THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT!
Am I being pathetic? Yes. I am pathetic and desperate and would like to very much have a roof over my head.
Anywho, this is how you will fill out a commission of this type in a note:
Entitle the note: $3 Commission Raffle
[Name of the account you want me to use to contact you]
Character Refs: [pictures preferred, but written works just as well if you have no pictures of them]
Where you heard about the raffle: [link and the name of the person who referred you, if applicable]
If I have questions I will ask.
My paypal email is email@example.com I would appreciate it if you paid first before I started and I would ask that you not send a payment until I've agreed to the commission. I seriously doubt that I will reject any, but I reserve the right to turn down a commission.
if you have questions for me regarding the event or commissions, please ask! I wish for as little to be misunderstood as possible.
For first-timers to my gallery, here's some samples of my sketch commissions:
(apparently you can't have more than six thumbnails? wtf?
And of course, a link to the example of the finished piece: [link]
